Next meeting
The next SACBA meeting will be held on Monday 16th November 1998 at 17h30. The venue is at the Astrological Society, corner Keyes & Tyrwhitt Avenues, Rosebank.

Herewith the SATRA press release of the 11th September '97 which was very quickly followed by their second press release on the 15th September '97.

VAT on call-back services
We have taken this article from the August 1997 issue of The Taxpayer.

Press gag still in force
Due to legal circumstances since the 28th August 1997, all SACBA members have been instructed not to speak to the press, radio, television nor to advertise or make any press statements until further notice. This gag includes having a booth at a Trade show etc...

The gag is for our own protection in order to strenghten our pending court case.


Support letters
Members in South Africa should send out this call-back company letter to their clients together with a copy of the client letter of support which is appended.

Sacba legal levy
Members have agreed to charge a SACBA legal levy of 2% (two percent) on all their client's bills, backdated to calls made on or after August 1st 1997. The administration and collection of these funds will be done by an independent firm of Auditors on behalf of Sacba.

Call-back credit black listing
Send us your bad debts and we will include them in this upcoming listing. We require the name of the company or individual, ID number, city and the amount of the outstanding debt.
